Day 1 : Chiangmai-Mae Saa Valley-Hmong Hilltribe Tour Itinerary : Pick up from hotel, airport, railway station or bus terminal in Chiangmai. Visit the hilltribe museum and local market in Mae Malai, then continue to Ban Mae Taman of Mae Tang to ride an elephant for an hour, followed by a ride in an ox-cart. After a picnic lunch, embark on a raft for an adventurous journey down the Mae Tang River for an hour, and travel to a small village situated 850 metres above sea level. Check in to the Hmong Hilltribe Lodge for barbecue dinner with a cultural presentation and overnight stay. Day 2: Hmong Hilltribe Tour Itinerary : After breakfast, drive to the small village of Ban Teen Doi where tourists take a short stroll to Ban Mae Pa. Take a mountain bike to Ban Palan. Visit the small village reservoir and continue to Ban Pong Kwaw where there is an old temple with beautiful wall paintings. After a pinic lunch, drive to Ban Pok, Ban Pang Kwai and Ban Nong Hoi Mai on the mountainous roads. Then take a mountain bike or trek from Ban Nong Hoi Mai to Mae Khi village, where you can have coffee or tea in the Hmong’s kitchen. Return to Hmong Hilltribe Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Day 3 : The Royal Project Tour Itinerary: After breakfast, depart for Ban Nong Hoi Kao, to observe the Royal Project, where the hill people are taught to grow vegetables and flowers. The Office of the Royal Project also buys products from the hilltribe people. Then proceed to Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden and orchid farm. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, visit the snake farm, and transfer to your hotel, or Chiangmai Airport. Included : Transportation, English-speaking tour guide, entrance fees, accommodation and meals |
